Masculine Birthday

I have to say I love this card! It's so simple too!! It's hard for me to make cards for men....I have way to many 'girly' or 'swirly' stamp sets, ha. That's why I purchased Stampin' Up!'s "Lovely as a Tree" set, it's perfect for masculine cards and sympathy cards too.
I stamped the tree image (it's one stamp) onto Whisper White Cardstock using Basic Black Classic Stamp Pad. I then took sponges with left over ink (Old Olive and Night of Navy) and proceeded to "rub" the cardstock. I just added more ink by dipping the sponge onto the ink pad, to get a shading effect. I stamped "happy birthday" from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set in Old Olive, and punched it out with the Small Oval punch. I sponged Basic Black on the sentiment and main image. I cut out the photo corners, and added brads. "happy birthday" is popped-up using Stampin' Dimentionals.

Happy New Year!

Well, it's a new year! Yeah! I'm reallylooking forward to this new year and what is in store!

I had some free time when my daughter was taking a nap, so I made a few birthday cards. You can never have too many of those, ha! This is one of the cards I made. I love the elegence and the simplicity of it. It has an heirloom feel to it and I love that!
I used "Happy Everything" stamp set, Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series paper, Barely Banana and Close to Cocoa cardstock, Close to Cocoa Classic Stamp pad, sponges, and brads.

Ok, so it's been a while since I last posted....but thanks to my new printer/scanner, I can post my new cards easily now! This is a Christmas card that I just made today.....I know Christmas is over, but it's beautiful isn't it! I used the swirls for the wind from Stampin' Up!'s "Priceless" the trees are from "Lovely as a Tree" and the sentiment from "Snow Swirled". I love how this turned out and I'm excited to be sharing it!

Happy Birthday Human

Here is my card that I made for my hubby's birthday. It features the new stamp set "Lots of Bots". I LOVE that set! It's so cute and it makes great 'guy' cards....which I have a hard time doing since I love swirly, girly stamps. The stamp says "Happy Birthday, Human". I used Dusty Durango (the orange) and Soft Suede (brown) cardstock. They are two of the new In Colors. I am really liking the color combo! All of the In Colors go very well together! I "colored" my robot with Blender Pens and Dusty Durango and Soft Suede ink. Thanks for looking! To order any of the mentioned merchandise click on the link on the right side of my blog.

Stampin'

Here is a card that I just finished. I was so happy with how it turned out I had to post it. It's using a "Masking-Reverse" technique. Basically I cut out a rectangle from paper and placed it over the cardstock. I used cotton balls (I don't have sponges) and appricot and cocoa inks to create the shading effect, then stamped the images. Because of the "mask" it creates this nice white boarder. I then just glued and tied on ribbon. I love making cards! It's such a creative outlet for me!! I will be teaching this technique at this month's Hostess Club. All products are Stampin' Up! You can visit there website at www.stampinup.com You can also recieve a free catalog with your online purchase now through April 30th. Don't forget to choose me as your demonstrator for preferred pricing :)

Ryleigh's Dress

So here is the final product! I'm happy it turned out well. You can't look too closely, or you'll see uneven seams and thread showing through. But all in all, it looks like a dress, so I'm happy :)
